Submit Manuscript | http://medcraveonline.com granulocytes, dendritic cells (DC) and immature myeloid cells (IMC) [1-3]. There are many researches on tumor MDSCs and negative effect on immune system [4,5]. Because of the negative regulation of immune response through different ways, MDSCs related researches are performed by transplant immunologists [6,7]. Many research find that MDSCs can prevent graft rejection reaction, and induce immune tolerance in kidney, heart, skin, bone marrow, islet transplantation [8,9]. Herein, we review the immunosuppressive role in animal transplantation models, as well as its potential clinical application prospect.

Multiple Low Doses of 5-Fluorouracil Diminishes Immunosuppression by Myeloid Derived Suppressor Cells in Murine Melanoma Model
Background: Melanoma progression and metastasis is suggested to be mediated by increased accumulation of myeloid derived suppressor cells. Various chemotherapeutic drugs such as 5-Fluorouracil in single low concentration have the capacity, at least in part, to reverse tumor progression by reducing myeloid derived suppressor cellsmediated immunosuppression. Objective: To assess whether multiple ...

متن کاملRegulatory T Cells and Myeloid-Derived Suppressor Cells in Patients with Peptic Ulcer and Gastric Cancer
Background: Regulatory T Cells (Tregs) and Myeloid-Derived Suppressor Cells (MDSCs) are two main regulatory cells modulating the immune responses in inflammation and cancer. Objective: To investigate and compare Tregs and MDSCs in peptic ulcer and gastric cancer. Methods: Patients with dyspepsia were selected and divided into three groups of non-ulcer dyspepsia (NUD, n=22), peptic ulcer disease...
متن کاملThe Role and Potential Therapeutic Application of Myeloid-Derived Suppressor Cells in Allo- and Autoimmunity
Myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) are a heterogeneous population of cells that consists of myeloid progenitor cells and immature myeloid cells. They have been identified as a cell population that may affect the activation of CD4(+) and CD8(+) T-cells to regulate the immune response negatively, which makes them attractive targets for the treatment of transplantation and autoimmune disease...
متن کاملMyeloid-derived suppressor cells in allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation
Accumulating evidence suggests that myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) underpin an immunological checkpoint that is activated during inflammation or "inflammatory-like" conditions like cancer. Here, we discuss the identification of MDSCs in patients receiving allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and their potential as therapeutic targets or tools for improving the efficacy o...
